Associa is seeking a highly motivated and visionary Director of Data and Analytics to lead our data-driven initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape our data strategy, foster innovation, and optimize community management through the strategic use of data and reporting. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with our mission and enhances community living through data-driven insights.
- Leadership: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of data professionals, cultivating a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Product Vision: Drive the product vision for our data and analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with our mission and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Business Intelligence: Develop and maintain robust data architecture to support business intelligence and analytics solutions, including Power BI implementations, to empower data-driven decisions that benefit our employees and communities.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, systems enhancement, training, and software procurement, all aimed at enriching community life and driving business value.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for data and analytics projects, building strong relationships with stakeholders across Associa to ensure project success.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of data architecture, relational database structures, and data reporting lifecycles.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft-based data platforms and reporting tools.
- Azure, Synapse, Fabric, Power Platform, Power BI, etc.
- Proficiency in ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) operations, including SQL and SSMS.
- Proficiency in project management and lean / agile methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft automation, workflow, and AI tools a plus (PowerApps, Power Automate, Copilot, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in data operations and reporting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal support, effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex data concepts to non-experts.
- Highly motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player that works well in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with all stakeholders.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Overtime required.
- Currently hybrid with 3 days in-office per week; subject to change.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Analytics)
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in data and analytics roles, with a demonstrated history of leadership, team management, project management, and development of data architectures and products.
