Job Description
The Director of Accounting is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position supervises branch client accounting members and administrative assistants, and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including branch/ ancillary company/ Home Office department general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. This position is also responsible for completing the responsibilities of a Corporate Branch Controller.

- 5 – 7 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.

- Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
- Professional customer service skills.
- Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
- Confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
- Analyze financial data and make rational and informed decisions in accordance with company policy and GAAP.
- Provide functional and administrative guidance for activities in defined scope of responsibilities.
- Direct and control overall organizational resources.
