Responsibilities
The Director, Accounting Services will be responsible for:
- Oversee ans supervise a team of Financial Managers
- Conduct performance review,
- Review time approvals,
- Distribute assignments for all direct reports.
- Collaborate on department processes on policy adjustments, training plans and implementation, problem resolutions, and client satisfaction escalations
- Assign projects to the other staff members to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Direct the day-to-day actions of the entire accounting department
- Enforce the correct accounting policies, methods and principles
- Meet financial objectives through collaboration and delegation
- Produce financial statements by monitoring and evaluating accounting data
- Plus other work relates tasks as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree from a 4-year accredited college / university
- 2 years minimum experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller
- Supervision of an accounting department with a minimum of 5 employees
- Real estate, property management and/or outsourced accounting / bookkeeping industry experience strongly preferred
- Hands on experience with a mid to upper tier accounting software package
- Demonstrated experience with a systems conversion and balance transfer
- Exceptional computer skills (power user)
- CPA / graduate degree a plus
- Excellent grasp of basic accounting theory and methods of accounting (accrual, cash and modified cash)
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong interpersonal/communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, challenging, high change/growth environment
Pay and Benefits:
$90,000 to $120,000, depending on education and experience.
