Job Description

Associa Cares is the charitable affiliate of Associa, North America's largest community management company. Dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities we serve, Associa Cares provides financial assistance to those facing unexpected hardships, disasters, or crises. We are committed to fostering a culture of compassion and support, and we are seeking a Development Coordinator to play a crucial role in advancing our mission.

Associa Cares is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to fill the position of Development Coordinator. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of Development & Operations and the Associa Cares team to drive fundraising initiatives, provide essential support to Associa branch events, and contribute to the organization's growth and success. This position requires a candidate with a solid foundation in fundraising and event coordination, and experience and/or knowledge of the IRS’s guidelines and rules for Nonprofit fundraising and donation management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Development & Operations to create and execute fundraising strategies that align with Associa Cares' mission and goals.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage donors and raise funds for the organization.
  • Provide support and guidance to Associa branch events, helping them integrate fundraising efforts and enhance community involvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners to strengthen Associa Cares' donor base and enhance fundraising opportunities.
  • Utilize your expertise in fair market value calculations to accurately assess and document in-kind donations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present compelling materials, proposals, and reports for potential donors, conveying Associa Cares' impact and the value of their contributions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of fundraising efforts across the organization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and innovative approaches to fundraising, incorporating new ideas into Associa Cares' development strategies.
  • Currently Hybrid Schedule at Associa's Dallas Headquarters, with occasional travel to branch events within the US/ Canada

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in fundraising or development, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong understanding of fundraising principles, donor relations, and event coordination.
  • Knowledge of the IRS’s rules for fundraising and donation management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in using fundraising software, databases, and Microsoft Office suite.
