Job Description

The Delinquency Specialist is an entry level, clerical role, that will send out delinquency notifications, and work with attorneys on getting accounts in good standing. This is a clerical role that require attention to detail, research and analysis, and data entry. Pay is $16.50.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Review and monitor all assessment accounts. Update account status. Follow up with the Manager for changes and/or updates and ensure the proper documentation is placed in the unit file and the corresponding notes are reflected in the system.
  • Process Certified Letters. Turn accounts over to the attorney.
  • Review monthly collection reports. Research and reconcile accounts. Update account status in the system.
  • Ensure Fees are properly tallied and billed to clients, send out delinquency letters to homeowners.
  • Maintain and distribute the Community Delinquency Information, Community Attorney Information and Attorney Contact List.
  • Review all homeowner payments received from the attorneys. Conduct a line-by-line review of attorney ledgers to ensure all legal fees have been identified and accurately posted to a homeowner's account.
  • Provide notification to the attorneys of direct payments received, checks returned for NSF, or on-line bill pay rejections.

Requirements

  • Account collections experience preferred.
  • Skill in the maintenance and control of appropriate data collection and record keeping systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
