POSITION OVERVIEW The Cybersecurity Engineer, reporting to the Director of IT, will develop / code secure implementations of compliance and monitoring for IT systems, both on-prem and cloud. This position will also be responsible for analyzing business requirements and information security data to develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to security architecture. The Cybersecurity Engineer should be skilled at assessing compliance requirements, preparing Security as Code strategies, and preparing implementation and transition plans. Furthermore, this position will participate in cross functional teams focused on integrating security architecture, engineering, policy, and operations. All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. REMOTE OPPORTUNITY This role is eligible for remote work for individuals in Denver, CO or the surrounding areas. Occasional meetings or work may be required in the Denver headquarters office on an as needed basis. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 5+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or Security related role Experience with docker, Azure Kubernetes Services or Kubernetes Automate the remediation of security vulnerabilities with Ansible and Terraform Oversee all patch management for Windows, Linux, and enterprise systems Knowledge of CI/CD Practices Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain security features across moderately complex cybersecurity, cloud, endpoint software/hardware systems Participate in evaluating secure design strategies to identify and recommend improvements to potential security design problems Analyze and recommend changes to existing system logic and documentation as necessary Recommend security solutions to minimize and/or prevent system interruption Perform change and problem management using standard tools and they conform and comply with existing system standards. Measure performance to ensure proper operation Follow and ensure adherence to technical standards for programming and design techniques, and train System technical staff on use of software/hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures Monitor compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines Performs other related duties as requested by management TECHNICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS If you’re on the fence about whether you meet all the requirements for this role, please apply! Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 3 - 6 years of relevant experience, including and hands on experience with public, private and hybrid cloud service (Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.) Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, AWS Solution Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, GIAC GCSA, CCSK, CISSP, CSSLP preferred Working knowledge of architecture and design of solutions using cloud-based technologies. Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Nessus Proficient with a variety of software development languages, tools and techniques including Python, JSON, YAML, Ansible, Terraform, and .NET Proficient at integration of various tools into DevOps pipeline such as Git Proficient at supporting and resolving security vulnerabilities Working knowledge of databases and SQL, HTML, and JavaScript Ability to tailor communications to their appropriate audience and present information in a credible, confident, and influential manner. Communicates in a concise, direct, and purposeful way This position pays an annual salary of $110,000 - $150,000.
