Position Overview: We are on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Controller to enhance our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the financial management of our Community Associations, ensuring that our accounting and finance functions are meticulously planned, directed, and coordinated. As Controller, you will manage the Portfolio Accountants, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Banking teams, driving excellence in financial management through hands-on leadership and effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. Provide in-depth analysis and insights to support the Community Management team and Board Members.
  • Internal Controls and Risk Management: Establish and maintain robust internal controls. Assess and manage financial risks to safeguard the organization's assets.
  • Audit and Compliance: Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors. Support community associations with reviews, compilations, and audits as needed.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning. Offer financial insights and recommendations to drive cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and efficiency improvements.
  • Training and Development: Lead the training and development of accounting staff. Enhance their skills and knowledge while ensuring operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Controller with 5+ years in accounting and finance roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in creating financial statements and managing general ledger functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
