JOB DESCRIPTION
Community Association Management is seeking a highly skilled and operationally focused Corporate Controller to lead the financial operations of our growing company. This individual will act as a strategic partner to the executive team and functional leaders across the business, providing actionable insights that drive growth, optimize profitability, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical accounting expertise, strategic financial leadership, and a hands-on approach to working with teams across the organization. This is NOT a remote position. The incumbent will be a member of the Executive Team and will be positioned in our corporate office in Charlotte, NC.
Required Technical Capabilities:
Deep expertise in GAAP and strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606.
Proficiency in financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting with a focus on optimizing business performance.
Advanced skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and KPI development to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of internal controls, financial compliance, and audit processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations:
Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and month-end close processes.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide real-time insights and drive financial performance.
KPI Development & Reporting:
Develop, track, and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights that enable better decision-making across the business.
Cash Flow & Capital Management:
Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, and capital allocation to support operational needs and growth initiatives.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with financial regulations, and accurate financial reporting.
Strategic Partner:
Collaborate with the executive team to drive strategic initiatives, support business planning, and align financial goals with overall company objectives.
Process Optimization:
Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Provide deep financial analysis and scenario planning to support strategic initiatives and operational decision-making.
Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
Continuously evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to address them.
Collaborative Leadership & Influence:
Lead the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
Partner with operations, customer success, and technology teams to ensure alignment between financial goals and business objectives.
Be a proactive communicator who can present financial insights to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
Growth & Scalability:
Demonstrate the ability to scale financial operations and processes to support a growing, dynamic business.
Lead initiatives related to M&A due diligence, integration of new entities, or expansion of service offerings.
Ensure the finance function evolves to meet the company’s strategic objectives and future growth.
Qualification/requirement
Highly Analytical: Ability to think strategically while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Proactive and Hands-On: Willing to roll up their sleeves and work alongside teams to solve complex problems. Comfortable with being a working manager
Ability to lead a team and oversee the work of others
Able to work with a diverse group of people.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable making decisions in ambiguity.
Excellent Communicator: Capable of simplifying complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders and influencing decisions at all levels of the organization.
Growth Mindset: Eager to learn, adapt, and grow with the company as it scales.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not mandatory; MBA is a plus).
10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and private industry roles.
Experience in industries such as property management, professional services, or financial services.
Proven track record of partnering with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements and enhance business performance.
Experience leading financial operations in multi-entity environments (e.g., managing multiple HOAs or service entities) and supporting complex client relationships.
Physical Demands:
40-hour work week from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Must be comfortable and able to sit for extended hours throughout the shift daily.

Minimal. General office working conditions.
