Job Description
Under the general supervision of the President primarily and the Vice President of Construction secondarily, the candidate for this position performs technical and clerical work involving the construction and restoration work performed by Lincoln Hancock Restoration. The role of the Clerk is to document the change order activities on the job; capturing labor, equipment, materials, and consumables used daily in the restoration of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Clerk acts as a pivotal liaison in the transition from Sales to Construction (client project contracts, change orders, client final sign-off, project start-up checklist, past due AR accounts, client observation tracking in Procore).
- Daily check-ins with the President and all Project Managers, in addition to regular communication with the V.P. of Construction.
- On large projects, the Clerk receives and relays to Adjuster or Building Consultant any requests for information by the contractors and prepares written field notes.
- The Clerk is expected to work alongside the Construction team to evaluate the work completed on the project and to produce a detailed and accurate accounting of the work as performed, including weather conditions, location details, and equipment used.
- Responsible for all activity within the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Software – including but not limited to change orders, payment applications, schedule adjustments and specifically forms G702 and G703.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment common to the restoration and mitigation of projects
- Proficient knowledge of the building trades, inspection practices, and Xactimate
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with Project Managers, Adjusters, Building Consultants, and the Construction Managers on-site.
- Ability to keep accurate records and prepare detailed reports.
- Ability to effectively use computer applications such as ProCore, Sage, and Excel to perform the essential duties of the position.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS:
- This position requires minimal but occasional travel to job sites.
- The Clerk may work independently or on projects in partnership with Project Managers or the Construction Manager.
- The Clerk’s work is subject to review by the Construction Project Manager, Adjuster, or Building Consultant on the project.
