We want to hire a Compliance Officer who shares our vision, values and commitment to superior customer service. The Compliance Officer is an entry level position that plays a supporting role in achieving long-term customersatisfaction within our Homeowner Association relationships. Responsibilities for this role include inspecting properties for maintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording warning and citations. This position will cover the geographical Portland Metro area of Beaverton, Hillsboro, North Plains, Forest Grover, Sherwood, Newberg and other territories as assigned.

Requirements

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct walking and drive-through inspection, noting any property violations as well as common area issues
  • Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person and electronically
  • Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine validity of complaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.
  • Investigate and enforce property codes within boundaries.
  • Filing, making copies and other general office tasks on a as needed basis
  • Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve minimum property standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
  • Professional customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills
  • Able to work effectively with Board of Directors, Committee members, residents, and other staff members
  • Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements
  • Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements
  • Knowledge of Conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of closely related experience, such as property management or property inspection is required
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience is required
  • Knowledge of Homeowners Association Management is a plus
