Job Description
The CommunityLifestyle Director builds a sense of community and increased engagement by orchestrating and executing community activities and events. The CommunityLifestyle Director works directly with management company leaders, the Board of Directors, and community volunteers to achieve the vision of the community. Due to the nature of this position, some evening and weekend hours will be required.
DailyResponsibilities:
- Creating, planning, promoting, and executing a comprehensive community event and programming calendar for residents.
- Creating content and managing community lifestyle communications – website, newsletters, promotional materials, social media accounts, etc.
- Producing, maintaining, and following an annual budget for activity income and expenses.
- Establishing and nurturing partnerships with local organizations and businesses and create sponsorship opportunities for the benefit of residents and the overall community.
- Overseeing the operation of the amenities as it pertains to community events.
- Developing and implementing general policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a viable network of volunteers.
- Supervise communications coordinator.
- Use of online platforms for registration and electronic payments.
- Collection and distribution of all electronic and in-person funds for events, vendor payments, licenses and supplies as needed.
- Maintain the calendar of business meetings, club events and private rental of community facilities.
- Attend monthly meetings and provide recommendations/feedback as required.
- Triage and implement requests as received.
- Acquire needed resources and provide prompt and professional communication.
- Oher duties as requested.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, customer service, public relations or other related experience and 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Creative thinking and efficient problem solving.
- Ability to deal with a large variety of individuals in a business-like and professional manner.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle a large number of tasks at the same time.
- Ability to stay on task amidst frequent interruptions.
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in use of computer, copier, scanner, telephone systems and electronic payment devices.
- Proficiency in various software applications to include desktop publishing, Microsoft Office, social media, and online communication platforms.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
