Job Overview

This position involves organizing social activities for an association and its residents while adhering to the policies set forth by the Board of Directors. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, particularly during evenings and weekends, especially from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • Evening and weekend events as needed
  • Required Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day
  • One Friday per month is required

Responsibilities

  • Propose, organize, and facilitate ongoing events and activities
  • Collaborate with committees, clubs, and other groups to address their needs
  • Schedule all ongoing activities
  • Plan special events, parties, programs, and day trips with resident input
  • Contact performers, negotiate contracts, and arrange program logistics
  • Publicize all activities and events, maintaining a calendar of events
  • Design event flyers and send eblasts regarding events
  • Explore and introduce new activities of interest to residents
  • Maintain social activity accounts for the association
  • Prepare deposits for clubs for planned events
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for various activity accounts
  • Participate in social committee meetings
  • Prepare a monthly report for the Manager/Lifestyle Supervisor with a schedule of planned activities and any issue reports
  • Oversee room setups for events
  • Conduct community calendar maintenance for clubs and private events
  • Work directly with the community manager
  • Conduct new homeowner orientations and clubhouse tours
  • Schedule Lab Corp hours monthly
  • Provide assistance in learning various games
  • Maintain stocking of the café

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor in resident interactions
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Focus on attention to detail
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Appropriate dress for a business casual environment (no T-shirts or jeans)
