Description

Responsible for development and delivery of communications to Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch residents, including correspondence, newsletters, brochures, internet, and other media, as necessary. Manages the overall promotions and marketing of the recreation and leisure programs, community events, and special projects offered community wide and supports the communication requirements of the Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch Community Associations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lifestyle Director and Activities Coordinator with programming, classes, event promotions, Seminar advertisements setup, etc.
  • Serve as the Community Administrator on the community website portal and registration software.
  • Responsible for identifying new communication opportunities as well as maintaining and consistently improving and updating existing methods.
  • Educates and enforces policies and procedures of the community portals through regularly scheduled training sessions for users.
  • Acts as a consultative point of contact for external and internal customers.
  • Responds promptly to resident needs.
  • Develops and maintains open line of communication with all community audiences.
  • Develops and maintain a working relationship with recreation software vendor.
  • Provide on-going marketing support of the web portal.
  • Prepares reports as requested by management.
  • Manages deadlines to ensure proper timeliness in communications.
  • Maintain an organized library of photos, collateral, media clips and other promotional materials for reference use.
  • Provide photography and videography, including editing as necessary, for internet and publication use.
  • Photographs and documents Anthem at Merrill Ranch resident activities on a regular basis.
  • Serve as a liaison between the community and media contacts.
  • Public Relations duties, press release writing, story pitching and maintaining media contact list.
  • Responsible for developing and updating the Communications Strategy, Communications Procedures and other procedures documents as needed.
  • Interacts with residents, guests, Pulte employees and public for networking and reporting.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Radio, Television/Film and three (3) years of experience in Communications or related field.
  • Efficiency in Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Microsoft FrontPage, Power Point, Digital Photography, and/or other graphic design software.
  • Experience with Parks and Recreation/Community Programming preferred.
  • Ensures cost effectiveness of departmental operations, care of office equipment and oversight of department assistant/support.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Must be capable of operating a computer, printer, telephone, camera video equipment.
  • Position requires sitting, standing and/or movement.
  • Duties of maintaining files and records, pushing, reaching, and carrying.
  • May be required to participate in more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays.
  • Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances.
  • Must be able to work extended hours, days, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
