Communications Coordinator - LACC (Lake Almanor, CA)
Summary:
As the Communications Coordinator for Lake Almanor Country Club, you will play a key role in shaping the club’s public image and fostering engagement within the community. This position is responsible for developing and overseeing promotional materials, managing the club’s social media presence, and maintaining internal and external websites. Additionally, you will research strategies to expand the club’s reach, coordinate communications with media outlets, and ensure all marketing efforts align with the club’s brand and objectives.
The Communications Coordinator will report to the Office Manager and work closely with the entire team, contributing to the organizational culture and promoting our values. Work Hours:
Regular, year-round, full-time employment opportunity. Typical schedule is 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- High level organizational, communication, and computer skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn quickly, be flexible in tasks and work well with a diverse range of people.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- High level of ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers is required.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Content Creation and Coordination: Design, coordinate, and distribute event advertisements and promotional materials. Edit all materials to ensure proper grammar, alignment with the brand, and relevance to the target audience. Develop and distribute all club communications, including bulletins, newsletters, and other materials.
- Social Media and Website Management: Analyze and optimize the company’s social media and online presence. Maintain and update both the member portal and public websites.
- Marketing and Promotion: Oversee digital advertising screens throughout the community and manage the marketing of community events. Research and recommend ways to expand reach through online and print media. Communicate findings and suggestions to management.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Events Coordinator to ensure accurate and up-to-date event materials (flyers, digital screens, websites). Serve as the main point of contact for all media inquiries, promotional content, and communications.
- Issue Resolution and Support: Address any issues related to promotional content or distribution, including emergency notifications. Provide technology-related support to members and employees.
- Other Responsibilities: Assist with various tasks for the Lake Almanor Community Foundation, including creating letters and advertisements. Manage "opt-out" addresses and newsletter preferences. Perform additional duties as assigned. Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
