Blue Lime is searching for an effective leader to manage, lead, motivate and develop a growing team of insurance professionals. The Operations Manager will be engaged in developing process and ensuring a high-quality service product delivery. Accuracy, team development and customer service are key success factors.
Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides training, coaching and direction to team members while creating an environment that encourages teamwork, commitment, increased productivity, and superior quality.
- Create progress, change, results, and team.
- Coordinate and monitor daily workflow for Service Team.
- Ensures that all deadlines are met, and that daily work is distributed appropriately and that client standards are met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Ability to strip down current processes, to enhance efficiency
- Ability to utilize problem-solving skills on complex process and efficiency issues for continual improvement.
- Ability to communicate with insurance carriers directly to improve process, when applicable.
- Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
- Assigned reports completed timely and accurately.
- Track efficiencies in agency processes.
- Research and provide feedback of the root cause on processing and quality issues.
- Analyze efficiency problems, make recommendations and make decisions affecting team.
- Provides technical training, direction and quality feedback to team members.
- Coordinates and monitors workflow; provides distribution of work items to team, and becomes active in the workflow when volume necessitates.
- Develop standards and methods for processes and procedures within the company.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Positively influences employees, team and departmental morale, engagement and performance.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
Job requirements
Required Skills And Ability
- Insurance Skills Required (we will not accept applicants without prior insurance experience): At least 5 years agency operations or carrier equivalent (Product or Claims Team leads), General lines license required and in-depth knowledge of claims process (carrier or agency level) and renewal process.
- College Education Preferred or Equal work experience
- Prior Agency Management Software experience – Applied Epic preferred
- Prior Claims and Claims Team Management desired
- Premium financing experience preferred
- Excellent, effective and diplomatic communication skills consisting of oral, written and listening skills.
- Commitment to continual learning as evidenced by attendance at seminars, industry programs as an attendee or guest speaker.
- Ability to train and educate others.
- Collaborative decision-making, relationship building and problem solving skills.
- Ability to draft correspondence and respond to inquiries and client concerns effectively and independently.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Ability to up and cross sell to existing accounts.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Certificates, Licenses,
- Valid driver’s license required with proof of insurance.
