Join our Team! Homeside Properties, an Associa Company, is now hiring a Collections Specialist to support our community association manager team in Alpharetta, GA.We are looking for energetic, flexible professionals who want to make a long-lasting career with a company that leads the community association management industry. The Collections Specialist is responsible for all aspects of community association collections and account monitoring. This role does not perform any outbound calling.

 

This is a full-time, hourly-paid position (40 hours/week) that comes with competitive compensation based on knowledge and experience, a full benefits package including medical, vision and dental programs, insurance options, paid time off, a 401k option, and much more.

 

Salary range $39,500 - $45,200.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Manage collections processes for an assigned portfolio of homeowner associations and condominium associations.
  • Review aging reports for each community, update collection statuses, notate accounts, follow action process and procedure.
  • Liaison between the community association attorney, the community manager, and board of directors.
  • Communicate with community manager/board of directors regarding recommendations and course of action.
  • Track bankruptcies, foreclosures, and lawsuits for reporting purposes.
  • Reconcile accounts including, but not limited to, charge adjustments, foreclosure write-offs, and updating account records of foreclosure, judgement, consent order and bankruptcies.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners to resolve account balance concerns.
  • Conform with and abide by all company policies and procedures.

 

Requirements

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

 

  • Associate or Bachelor degree desired, and/or 2+years of directly related or closely related experience.
  • Work experience in a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Real Estate law position highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of community association management desirable.
  • Knowledge of collection terms and processes.
  • Knowledge of the litigation process and the legal concepts associated with specific legal needs.
  • Ability to perform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, outlook, Word, etc.) at a proficient level.
  • Professional communication skills both written and verbal with a polished and friendly demeanor.
  • Self-motivated, detail-focused and enjoys working within a team environment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
