Job Description

A Code Enforcement Specialist plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction inthe context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary withdesignated communities and may include, but are not limited to: Inspecting properties formaintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording findings.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Heavy out of the office work.
  • Walk and inspect property to ensure HOA Code is followed.
  • Investigate and enforce property codes within boundaries.
  • Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve minimum property standards.
  • Conduct HOA property inspections utilizing an inspection check list.
  • Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person andelectronically.
  • Create and mail out certified letters.
  • Manage and respond to emails.
  • Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine validity ofcomplaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.
  • Prepare Convenance Committee package and attend Convenance Committee meetings once a month.
  • Attend monthly board meeting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Associates Degree Preferred.
  • 0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience.
  • Professional customer service skills with knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.
  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and a team player.
  • Time management, time critical prioritization skills, and ability to multi-task.
