Job Description

Pay rate is based on experience in the construction and building maintenance industry. Also included a full benefits package that includes: health and life insurance, 401k, company provided equipment, tools and vehicle.

Be mobile throughout the Atlanta and North Georgia regions each workday.

Perform routine maintenance around communities such as fixing damages on doors, locks, drywall, caulking, wood and trim, etc.

Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.

Work on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or faulty electrical components are present.

Apply preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems.

Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries and property damage.

Painting that includes touching up to medium sized room full repaint.

Bulk and household trash removal, pressure washing, graffiti removal, etc.

Maintain clean and organized equipment, tools and vehicles.

Requirements

Must possess and utilize a diverse mix of both hard and soft skills, particularly manual labor skills, including:

Must be self-motivated.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Must be comfortable with accountability.

Ability perform diagnoses and repairs within predetermined parameters.

Set up and take down ladders.

Climbing up to 40ft on extension ladders.

Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems.

Diagnosing electrical wiring problems with electricity.

Carpentry ability to handle repairs around fences, gates and buildings.

Interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers or residents in a pleasant manner.

Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.

Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working.

Ability to lift and carry 80 lbs..

Communicating by email, messaging systems, texting and phone calls.

Adhere to all company safety and operating protocols.

Maintenance Technician positions require at least a high school diploma or an equivalent degree such as a GED. Certifications are not required but useful as a means of demonstrating a potential candidate’s ability to handle the rigors of the job effectively. Plumbing, carpentry or electrical certifications demonstrate an applicant’s versatility as a maintenance professional and indicate an applicant who may provide added value compared to other applicants without comparable certifications.

Maintenance Technicians must be available to work business hours and emergency after hours duties responding to emergencies when necessary and completing assigned scheduled tasks. Maintain scheduled work orders of repairs, supply needs and communication requirements. Shop for materials and track receipts and make timely repairs. Maintenance Technicians inspect wiring, repair pipes, replace wood, paint, troubleshoot and repair equipment, replace light bulbs and replace damaged equipment.
