Job Description

Pool Monitor:

• Each Pool Monitor has a duty of care to customers, to other staff, and to themselves. Must be detail oriented, honest, and friendly.
• Monitors are responsible for the following during any given shift:
• Carefully following instructions, registering new members, making sure the members are aware of the rules, and issuing pool cards.
• Validating id’s, checking in members, and taking guest fees.
• Being very familiar with and enforcing the pool rules! This is to ensure that the pool is family friendly and safe.
• Be able to follow emergency/safety procedures for pools, weather, and people. Document any escalation incidents.
• Keeping all areas of the pool clean, including but not limited to the office, bathrooms, pool deck, tables, chairs, pumphouse, hall, and pools.
• Must do chemical checks on 2 pools during each shift and fix chemical levels if necessary.
• Opening and closing duties including vacuuming the pools, scrubbing tiles, floors, and toilets, closing out cash drawer, and calculating totals.
• Stocking and selling snacks and drinks.
• Be weather aware.
  
  

Requirements

• Due to liability and insurance, employees are preferred to be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to swim and lift up to 50 pounds.
