Job Title: Closing & Legal Coordinator
Job Category – Accounting

Job Description
Position Main Purpose
Handling all aspects of Pre & Post Closing Work.
Legal work –Assist in managing delinquency status and handling collection process.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
Composes and complete accurate closing letters for a home closing transaction in a timely manner
Creation of new owner’s account and closing out of prior owner’s account
Processes high volume of closing checks and posts to homeowners’ ledgers.
Processes all legal payments and post to homeowners’ ledgers.
Works closely with legal attorneys and the Property Management staff to manage delinquency matters and collection process.
Perform homeowner collection account adjustments using calculation received from collection attorneys.
Creation, maintenance, and update of owners’ ledgers to reflect changes of ownership, legal status, foreclosure, and bankruptcy status.
Complete legal and title research requests.
Has a basic understanding of real estate transaction details including lender questionnaires, warranty deeds, quitclaim deeds and HUD 1.
Maintain consistent office hours as designated by CMA policies with the guidance of the management team.
Completes other projects as instructed by the direct supervisor and management team.
Nature and Scope
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills -- will be communicating with all levels of personnel, so clear and concise communication is a must.
Position demands accuracy and excellent organizational skills.
Must be detail-oriented, dependable and have strong multi-tasking skills.

Requirements
Ability to commute/relocate:
Atlanta, GA 30318: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education Required
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Proficiency using various Property Management Accounting systems.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and Outlook email.
Experience Required
A minimum of 3 years working experience in accounting, legal, or the property management industry.
Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
