Job Description

The Client Accounting Specialist is an accounting support position in a fast paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Will research AP invoices with issues and identify resolution of the transactions to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Investigate and reconcile interfund balances.
  • Review monthly financials on a timely basis.
  • Research and resolve clearing accounts.
  • Assist with maintenance fee and special assessment billing.
  • Complete trend analysis on invoices rejected out of the AP standard process/workflow.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Manages work queues to ensure operational needs are met accurately and efficiently
  • Identify process improvements in both procedures and systems
  • Partner with CSR to ensure all inquiries received are resolved.
  • Other duties and/or special projects may be assigned to meet business needs;
  • Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time if requested by department management

Requirements

  • Evaluate, analyze, and prioritize data in various forms and formats.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures (US GAAP).
  • Comprehension of fund accounting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of client accounting.
