Job Description
The Senior Accounting Coordinator is responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of the strategic vision client accounting services and corporate client accounting services revenue at the branch level. They will be responsible for the day-to-day training of client accounting specialists and accounting support team members, monitoring client financial statement preparation and support functions to achieve branch goals for timely, accurate accounting services, and assisting with the accounting process development and implementation for client service levels and corporate revenue consistency from supplemental services and fees. Due to the variety and sizes of branches with different structures, specific duties and responsibilities will vary. The Senior Accounting Coordinator supports both DRM and AEM branches.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor preparation and delivery of monthly client financial statements.
- Responsibility for training and guidance of client accounting specialist and accounting support staff.
- Assist in training and assistance to CAMs and other branch personnel with regard to financial statement review, budget implementation, A/R, A/P, GL, and various other accounting process.
- Recommend branch accounting process and policies to meet client accounting service levels with a specific focus on providing excellent service to high-touch/high-value clients timely accurate reporting to all clients.
- Ensure Associa accounting tools are being effectively developed and utilized such as branch access document storage, monthly financial support schedules, cash receipt documentation, FY operating budget, etc.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers including CSSC Teams & Leadership, CAMs, ACAMS, Customer Service, on-site managers and teams, homeowners, board members and committee members, and industry partners.
- Work closely with fellow team members to develop cohesive collaborative teams to recommend branch client accounting initiatives, branch revenue stability.
- Implement, train, execute and monitor branch accounting process improvements.
- Review and approve monthly client financial statement packets. Monthly reports consist of but not limited to, Balance Sheet, Income statement, Monthly Trends, Delinquencies, Prepaid accounts, Bank reconciliation and General Ledger, Bank Statements, Balance Sheet Support Schedules, etc.
- Assist in answering questions for Community Association Managers (CAM’s) and Board Members regarding monthly financial statements and accounting processes.
- Manage transition in of new clients, including communicating internally about new clients, setting up bank accounts, closing bank accounts, processing new and updated signature cards, and budget entry.
- Oversee and assist with request for AP & AR corrections, bank reconciliation, journal entries and account adjustments.
- Manage recurring charges, such as homeowner assessments, parking, and storage.
- Assist with Branch corporate AP and Cash Receipts processing as needed and directed by Branch Controller and CFO.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Attend in person or virtual board meetings as needed.
Knowledge And Skills
- Knowledge of GAAP at a proficient level.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook,) at a proficient level.
- Knowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, et) at a proficient level.
- Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond.
- effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or
- complex topics to top management, public groups, and or boards of directors.
- Experienced in budget implementation.
- Thorough understanding of AP transaction process.
- Thorough understanding of AR transaction process.
- Willingness to grow and take on new projects as needed.
- Partner with multiple stakeholders, for example community managers, vendors, peers, clients.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.

- Bachelors Degree Required
- Masters Degree Preferred
- 5 years of directly related of closely related experience.
