FRONTSTEPS is the nation’s most comprehensive Community Management platform that simplifies how management companies and homeowner associations connect, operate, and optimize modern communities and management companies. With a focus on mobile-first technology and best-in-class user experiences, our platform makes it easy for community leaders to collaborate and drive prosperous communities and management companies.

At FRONTSTEPS, we know that we cannot build a community-focused platform without actively investing in our team. That’s why you’re here. Our internal FRONTSTEPS community is built upon talented people that get their hands dirty, engage in problem solving, and ultimately make our platform the most competitive service on the market.

Position Overview

FRONTSTEPS is on a mission to build intuitive software solutions that foster transparency, efficiency, and collaboration for everyone who calls an association home. The Suite Manager product is a unified, mobile-optimized back-office destination for our Community Association Managers, leveraging AI to automate processes and connect tightly with FRONTSTEPS Community—a curated experience for homeowners and board members.

In this role, the Business Analyst for the Suite Manager project will play a key role in shaping our most innovative software platform by actively contributing to product development and user experience improvements. You’ll independently source and analyze data to craft clear, comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring they align with real user needs. As a forward-thinking problem-solver, you welcome change, embrace iterative improvements, and bring a data-driven approach to every decision. We seek a collaborative, technology-savvy individual who leverages Business Intelligence and AI to drive continuous value and inspire others through proactive, customer-focused insights.

IMMEDIATE VALUE OBJECTIVES

  • Quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of FRONTSTEPS’ product suite, roadmaps, key features, user personas, and technical dependencies across platforms
  • Proactively gather and document detailed requirements and technical specifications across Suite Manager functions to create user-centered stories that support iterative development and align with evolving needs
  • Collaborate closely with the UI/UX designers to translate requirements into user-friendly designs, ensuring alignment on functionality and usability to enhance the overall user experience

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and analyze detailed requirements, ensuring alignment on product needs and goals
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to develop and refine user stories and conditions of acceptance that are accurate, testable, and add measurable value for users
  • Support product backlog management by helping prioritize tasks, identifying areas where AI/BI tools can streamline backlog grooming, and ensuring a steady flow of ready-to-develop items
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, removing blockers and contributing insights that ensure the team remains aligned and focused
  • Partner with UX/UI teams to design user-centric solutions that integrate analytics insights and improve decision-making for the best user experience
  • Collaborate with the Product Storyteller to identify opportunities for user feedback, using data insights to uncover trends and inform product direction
  • Provide data-informed support for troubleshooting issues, using AI-driven insights to resolve challenges efficiently and enhance user satisfaction
  • Assist with competitive research by using AI tools to streamline data collection and analysis, keeping the product up-to-date with market trends
  • Act as a collaborative resource for Technical Support Specialists to deliver high-touch resolutions that align with user needs and expectations
  • Offer support to the Product Owner and Product Managers, assisting with various tasks to drive project success and ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Explore and implement creative strategies to boost customer engagement, such as gamification elements, enhanced onboarding experiences, and other user-centered features that add value and improve product adoption
  • Performs other duties as requested by management

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with proven experience and knowledge of Agile principles and processes
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical or consulting role, ideally in a collaborative, Agile environment focused on iterative product development
  • Hands-on experience with AI and BI tools (such as PowerBI) for data analysis and simple visualizations that drive data-informed decision-making
  • Experience with SQL, APIs, and Ionic/Angular frameworks is strongly desired, with the ability to leverage these skills to support technical requirements and development processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable product requirements that drive user value
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize stakeholder requests, feedback, and conflicting requirements, ensuring alignment with product goals and strategic priorities
  • Proficiency with documentation tools and standards, including experience using Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms to document user stories, requirements, and track project progress
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively and convey complex ideas clearly across cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with product analytics and data-driven decision-making, with a proactive approach to integrating user feedback into product development
  • Effective prioritization and project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, Agile environment focused on continuous improvement
