Job Description
Associa is currently looking for a Controller to join our team remotely! As a Controller Manager, you will work closely with our branches and corporate accounting team. To be successful in this role you will need great customer service skills and the ability to work on multiple projects. This position will give you lots of flexibility on your schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maximizes financial consistency through establishment and management of revenue and expense policies and controls;
- Advise and guide branch leadership decisions through financial awareness, internal controls oversight, and fiscal awareness;
- Monitors and confirms financial conditions by conducting internal audits, and working with corporate controller functions;
- Assists in the preparation and ongoing management of budgets and forecasts, in conjunction with branch leadership;
- Assists in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analysis of monthly financial reporting, through establishment of schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating data, and making recommendations to branch leadership;
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions;
- Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data;
- Prepares reporting, including special reporting of analysis of financial trends compared to budgets;
- Works with Associa corporate accounting teams in the preparation and completion of monthly branch-level financial reports.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information, plans, and strategies, confidential;
- Complies with all federal, state, local, and Associa corporate requirements in the preparation and analysis of financial information and controls;
Requirements
- Five years of experience in corporate accounting functions, bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA preferred (but not required)
- Deep understanding in GAAP, including practices around accrual and modified accrual accounting
- Experience in preparation and production of standard business financial reporting
