Job Description

Join our team as a Corporate Branch Controller and take the lead in analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports for assigned branches. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior management, branch presidents, and corporate finance and accounting team members to provide real-time reporting for all business transactions.

As the ideal candidate, you hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with 8-10 years of experience in accounting. You are customer-oriented with strong skills in written and verbal communication. You also have a solid understanding of operational accounting, financial requirements, accounting requirements, and business management practices.

In addition, you have experience with Microsoft D365 core applications and advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, and data filtering/sorting. You are an expert in problem-solving and can effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

As our Corporate Branch Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, processing journal entries, and reconciling accounts. You will also assist in preparing monthly financial reports and coordinating information required for audit schedules.

Accounting

  • Main G/L point of contact for branch /integrated service company presidents and Home Office department leaders.
  • Will perform general accounting, and other related duties in the daily administration of accounting department.
  • Maintain general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly, balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, and setting up new accounts.
  • Process and/or monitor journal entries recording the monthly activity of all entities.
  • Perform bank reconciliation monthly, verify all deposits, and address questions and problems frombanking institutions.
  • Assist with auditors and provide supporting documentation as needed.

Reporting

  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports to include preparation of monthly balance sheet and income statement.
  • Use real-time reporting for current posting data - account displays, financial statements, different balance sheet versions, ad hoc reporting; all business transactions.
  • Interaction with Operations Senior Management, Branch Presidents, Corporate Finance and Accounting team members and Finance and Accounting Senior Management.

Requirements

Education / Work Experience

  • This position requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 8-10 years experience in accounting is required.
  • Preferably CPA or working on CPA

Skills / Other Requirements

  • Microsoft D365 core applications experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel including pivot table, v-lookups and macros and data filtering/sorting.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of people and situations.
