Job Description

Associa is looking for a Benefits Director to join our award-winning HR Team. The role is responsible for overseeing our benefits plans, managing vendor relationships and ensuring benefit education for our employees. The Benefits Director plans and directs the overall design, implementation, communication, and administration of Associa's benefit plans. The benefits Director ensures that programs adhere to current regulations and support the organization's strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage the company's benefits programs ensuring innovative, competitive, cost-effective plans that drive a culture of wellness.
  • Responsible for managing and administering all employee benefit plans and wellness programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, life, disability, supplemental plans, FSA, HSA, COBRA, and 401(k).
  • Manage benefit plan, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration.
  • Identify trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing laws and regulations and updates to legal requirements.
  • Manages benefits staff by coaching, counseling, and mentoring employees.
  • Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive communication strategy for the benefit programs
  • Identifying opportunities to enable the company better to improve employee engagement, facilitate proactive and effective messaging
  • Strategize on and set up a structure for the annual open enrollment process.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Benefits Manager
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software -- ADP/Vantage preferred but not required
  • Good analytical skills
  • Experience in vendor management
