Job Description

This position provides a wide variety of services to our guests and residents. Bartenders and deck servers helps to take orders at the bar, check id's, make and serve alcoholic beverages, run food, and assist with orders around the pool deck. All team members provide exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group. He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service as it relates to this function. This includes working interdepartmentally, as well as, with our external clients.

  • ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (May include some or all of the following as applicable)



    • Interact with customers, take orders, and serve meals and drinks.
    • Memorize and present menus to guests
    • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
    • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
    • Restock and replenish inventory and supplies
    • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
    • Comply with all food and beverage regulation
    • Understand cash handling proceedures, take cash transactions, and provide proper change
    • Utilize portable handheld system to take guest orders on pool deck. Run food and drink orders to guests around pool deck.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work enviornment
    • May be assigned other duties by management team



SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:

Food Handlers Certification/Safe Staff Certification. NOT mandatory, we can train and certify on site.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to take direction
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work fast, effectively and stay focused under pressure
  • Understanding of basic kitchen sanitation
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time



Language requirements:

Fluent in English as a primary language. Additional languages are a plus, however; not required.
