Job Description

Rancho La Quinta Country Club is looking for an energetic individual to join their Food & Beverage team.

Bartenders have a wide variety of tasks to perform during their work shift, including checking guests' identification to ensure that they are of legal age to consume alcohol. Furthermore, bartenders must write down, memorize, and properly deliver sometimes complex orders for the kitchen staff to ensure that guests are getting the exact orders that they ask for. They also mustbe prepared to attend to guests throughout their visit.

Requirements

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Reports to work as indicated on the work schedule and in the correct uniform
• Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and dining room guests
• Greets all bar Guests immediately, makes beverage suggestions and answers questions regarding food and beverage service
• Take food and beverage orders, give food orders to kitchen and deliver orders
• Recognizes and responds to any Guest's needs and/or requests
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar counter, back bar, bar work areas, shelving and storage areas
• Adheres to and complies with all state/local liquor laws and Rancho La Quinta policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages
• Communicates to the F&B Manager with any and all situations where a Guest may express concern or dissatisfaction with any aspect of the dining experience
• Follows all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified by the restaurant
• Performs all duties and maintains knowledge of all standards and procedures, as stated in the Associa Employee Handbook & Club House Training Manual
• Additional duties as assigned
  
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrates a Guest first mindset, placing a high priority on the Guest experience
• Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service
• Excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic
• Ability to defuse difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism
• Handle stress associated with responding to/solving problems
• The employee must be able to stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods of time, at least 8 hours during their shift at the country club.
• Ability to read, speak and understand communication in English; Bilingual preferred
• Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis
• Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively
• Wage Range: $15.50 - $18.00 an hour depending on experience.
• Position involves work on afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required
