Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Banking Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing requests to open, close and update bank account information. This is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America. Candidates for this position must meet Associa’s credit requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide comprehensive bank related customer service to US Branch offices
- Facilitate client needs with partner banks (Opening/Closing/Maintaining HOA bank accounts)
- Work with departments across shared services center to ensure operational efficiency for various accounting functions
- Monitor, log, and retrieve HOA bank statements
- Transaction research
- Manage Bank Information in Complete Control for Communities (C3).
- Update signature cards as requested.
- Generate banking reports within Complete Control for Communities (C3).
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 1 – 3 years of banking experience preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Detail-oriented
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience in customer service
- Basic understanding of accounting functions
- Problem solving and time management skills
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Complete Control for Communities (C3) software preferred but not required
- Experience operating within web-based ticketing service preferred but not required
- Understanding of or experience in the Community Association Management Industry preferred but not required
- Experience working in an Accounting Shared Services Center environment preferred but not required
