Assistant Tennis Professional (Seasonal)

Responsibilities

• Teach private and/or group lessons
• Follow the curriculum as determined by the Director Of Tennis
• Supervise leagues, teams and other tennis programs as assigned by the Director of Tennis
• Maintain accurate class attendance records
• Monitor and relate student's progress to student on a regular basis
• Promote club programs and encourage registration/participation
• Attend all departmental staff meetings
• Motivate students through use of new teaching techniques in private or group lessons
• Report for lessons on time and in professional attire
• Abide by all club company rules and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual
• Accept and complete all assignments deemed appropriate by the Director of Tennis or General Manager

Job Qualifications:

Upon hire, the teaching professional must:

• Have a USPTA or USPTR certification
• Have minimum of two (2) years teaching experience
• Demonstrate a moderate to high level of playing proficiency
• Demonstrate on court teaching techniques
• Have CPR certification
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
• Maintain positive attitude

In addition, the ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following skills/attributes:

• High energy and enthusiasm for the game of tennis
