Assistant Property Manager – 1111 Light & Heath Street Lofts | Baltimore, MD

WPM is seeking an enthusiastic, self-starting professional in the property management industry to support the daily operations of 1111 Light & Heath Street Lofts, two premier communities in Baltimore, MD. As the Assistant Property Manager, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming home and community experience for our residents. You will oversee leasing operations, resident retention initiatives, and provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a high level of satisfaction among residents.

📅 Schedule & 💰 Compensation

  • Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Starting Salary: $55,000 annually **+ commission and bonus eligibility**

🌟 Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversee the leasing process, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and Fair Housing laws.
  • Review and approve rent decisions, lease renewals, and execute retention strategies to maximize occupancy.
  • Assist with marketing efforts, maintaining optimal curb appeal, evaluating competitors, and developing strategies to minimize vacancies.
  • Initiate eviction proceedings when necessary, providing required documentation to the Property Accountants.
  • Conduct routine property inspections, identifying deficiencies and implementing cost-effective solutions within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely unit turnovers and efficient resolution of resident maintenance requests.
  • Maintain financial records, process invoices, and approve expenditures in a timely manner.
  • Foster strong relationships with residents through proactive communication and engagement, ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction and retention.
  • Perform supervisory duties, including hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling of direct reports to ensure proper coverage and emergency response availability.
  • Prepare reports and updates for ownership and management to provide transparency on financial performance and community operations.
  • Model and enforce company policies and core values, ensuring professionalism across all interactions with residents, vendors, and team members.

📌 Qualifications & Skills

✔️ 2+ years of property management experience preferred.

✔️ Strong understanding of leasing, Fair Housing laws, and resident relations.

✔️ Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

✔️ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

✔️ Proficiency In Property Management Software (Entrata Experience Preferred).

✔️ Team leadership experience with the ability to mentor and support staff.

✔️ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
