Assistant Service Manager – The Springs Townhomes
📍 Location: Parkville, Maryland
🛠 Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
💰 Compensation: $29 (Based on experience) + benefits and phone allowance
WPM is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our service team at The Springs Townhomes in Parkville, MD! As the Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will support the Service Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations, mentoring staff, coordinating contractors, managing work orders, and addressing resident concerns. Position Overview
As the Assistant Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager in overseeing the maintenance operations of the property. You will play a key role in maintaining the physical condition of the community, ensuring timely service requests, and leading the maintenance team in providing high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Service Manager in supervising and coordinating daily maintenance operations.
- Perform routine inspections and oversee preventive maintenance.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely completion.
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Work closely with the property management team to maintain high resident satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local codes, and OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and order necessary materials as needed.
- Participate in on-call emergency maintenance rotation.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years in apartment maintenance or related field; supervisory experience preferred.
- Certifications: HVAC certification required
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry skills.
- Team Player: Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
- Problem-Solver: Quick thinker who can diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
