Position Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Controller to join our finance team in Prescott, AZ. This is your chance to support the financial backbone of our HOA management operations, working closely with the Controller to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and insight. You’ll assist in overseeing accounting functions, support our Portfolio Accountants, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Banking teams, and contribute to the financial health of our homeowners associations with precision and care.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Financial Accuracy: Assist in preparing detailed financial statements and reports, ensuring they’re accurate and timely for HOA leadership and Boards.
- Strengthen Operations: Help maintain internal controls and processes to safeguard our associations’ financial integrity.
- Aid Compliance Efforts: Support audit preparation and assist with reviews, compilations, and audits for our communities.
- Analyze and Improve: Provide financial data analysis to identify trends, support budgeting, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside accounting staff, offering guidance and support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What You Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a desire to grow into a leadership position.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger tasks.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Clear communication skills—both written and verbal—to collaborate effectively.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to getting it right.
