Job Description

Join the team at the newest resort, Windsor Island Resort. Responsible for enforcing pool safety rules in all pool areas. Primary responsibility is the maintenance and cleanliness of pool and deck areas. Able to understand and react to emergency response procedures; monitors safety and security of all pool users and responsible for reporting and documenting any safety or accident concerns.

The Deck or Pool Attendant also provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group. He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service as it relates to this function. This includes working interdepartmentally, as well as, with our external customers.



  • ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: May include some or all of the following as applicable:

    • Set up activities and concessions stations for the day.
    • Makes welcome announcement to guests over microphone and speaker system.
    • Must be comfortable talking on a microphone and making announcements to large quantities of people.
    • Prepare activities craft packets.
    • Facilitate and help guests with crafts.
    • Facilitate poolside games and award prizes.
    • Monitor the pool deck to ensure all guests have wristbands.
    • Ensure that no guest has outside food or beverages on the pool deck.
    • Assist with trash pick- up around the clubhouse.
    • Operate and sell concessions, including: snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn, and ice cream.
    • Maintain recreation and concession equipment.
    • Utilize a handheld credit card reader to process payments.
    • Responsible for organizing and supervising activities during events, assist with event set up, and event tear down.
    • Answer guest questions.
    • Assist with inventory.
    • May be assigned other duties by the Lifestyle Director.



SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:

High school diploma required. Associates degree with concentration in business or hospitality management preferred, or equivalent of education and experience. First Aid/ CPR certification preferred, but not required.

Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:

Must possess high attention to detail and organizational skills. Outgoing personality with confidence to speak in front of a large crowds and maintain guest attention. Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Self- motivated, capable of multitasking, and ability to remain calm in stressful/ high volume situations.

Computer Literacy:

Intermediate knowledge of computer hardware/software is required; specifically, knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of design programs such as Canva or Poster My Wall desirable, but not required.

Language Requirements:

Multiple language fluency is desirable, but not necessary.

Travel and ability requirements:

May be occasionally asked to take short trips to stores or storage unit. Ability to work extended hours, especially during peak/ holiday seasons as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in an upright or standing position for long periods of time. Ability to walk and remain active for extended periods of time outdoors. May handle, grasp and lift objects and packages. Reach with hands and arms, communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information. Ability to quickly and easily navigate the building as required to meet job functions; complete all required forms.

Working Conditions:

The majority of work will be completed outdoors in a hot environment, with moderate to high noise levels. Heat breaks, fans, and water will be provided to assist with cooling down throughout the shift.
