As a CAMS Accounts Receivable Team Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the AR Manager in leading our Accounts Receivables team, processing receivables, billing, payments and assisting with providing additional coverage in an accounting capacity when needed. You will build relationships with the community managers and other accounting staff and external stakeholders and provide guidance and information on accounting-related matters. You will be a resource for the accounting support team members for complex and escalated items requiring second-level customer support.

 

This role is a full-time position, Monday- Friday 8 am - 5 pm and in-office presence 2-3 days a week is required to be able to perform the role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Leads, trains and supervises team members in the Accounts Receivable department
  • Maintains working knowledge and proficiency in all accounting support positions for training and assisting during times of need
  • Work closely with the Accounting Services Manager on day-to-day accounting or operational needs
  • Works closely with the Operations Managers on special projects, specific deliverables and defining and implementing continuous improvement for the team and the organization
  • Liaison/assistance with any complex or escalated concerns from Community Managers and/or clients regarding receivables and billing concerns.
  • Provide regular reports on output for each area of Receivables and others as assigned.

Requirements

 

  • Expertise in Excel
  • 4+ years of bookkeeping and/or accounts receivable experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Investigative and research skills
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Customer service skills
  • Prior supervisory experience

Preferred

  • General knowledge of banking processes
  • Experience with bank reconciliations

Benefits & Salary

 

The salary range for this position is $40,000-43,000 annually and is determined by the candidate qualifications listed above.
