Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for leading all Accounts Receivable staff. Manager will be responsible for performance and production of assigned areas of Accounts Receivable including: manual cash application, ACH direct debit set up and processing, lockbox exceptions processing, RDC scanning, insufficient funds processing and notification, and homeowner ledger adjustments including refunds, miscellaneous credits, and misapplied payment correction. This is an accounting support position in a fast paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America. Candidates for this position must meet Associa’s credit requirements.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise Accounts Receivable (AR) staff.
  • Assign branches portfolios to AR staff based on experience, skill level and abilities.
  • Train AR staff and assist in all aspects of Association AR processes as described above.
  • Work directly with Billing Manager, Delinquency Manager and General Ledger Portfolio Accountants and their leadership.
  • Confirm timely processing of all AR files for ACH and lockbox as well as all manual payment processes.
  • Confirm accuracy of adjustments, credits, write-offs and Direct Debit ACH processing.
  • Develop and train staff to meet department requirements.
  • Responsible for managing the performance of staff in Accounts Receivable including performance reviews, disciplinary action and hiring.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures (US GAAP) at an expert level.
  • Knowledge of budget development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of an Accounting Shared Services Center environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) at a proficient level.
  • Knowledge of Power BI database tools.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Project management at a proficient level.
