Job Description
The Accounts Payable Audit Specialist I is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America.
This position is eligible for telecommuting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide audit of invoices at various stages of the payment approval process.
- Reviews invoices and provides audit reporting on deleted AP invoices.
- Ensures that assigned audits are completed daily.
- Communicate the results of audits with management.
- Manages work queues to ensure operational needs are met accurately and efficiently for various AP teams.
- Identify process improvements in both procedures and systems.
- Other duties and/or special projects may be assigned to meet business needs; Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time if requested by department management.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 or more years of accounts payable experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to evaluate, analyze, and prioritize data in various forms and formats
- Knowledge and skilled in proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Able to accurately perform calculations and analysis
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting; flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and alpha-numeric data entry
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Understanding of, or experience in, the Community Association Management Industry
- Experience with automated AP workflows and modules
