Job Description

 

The Accounts Payable Audit Specialist I is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America.

 

This position is eligible for telecommuting.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide audit of invoices at various stages of the payment approval process.
  • Reviews invoices and provides audit reporting on deleted AP invoices.
  • Ensures that assigned audits are completed daily.
  • Communicate the results of audits with management.
  • Manages work queues to ensure operational needs are met accurately and efficiently for various AP teams.
  • Identify process improvements in both procedures and systems.
  • Other duties and/or special projects may be assigned to meet business needs; Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time if requested by department management.

 

Requirements

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of accounts payable experience

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Ability to evaluate, analyze, and prioritize data in various forms and formats
  • Knowledge and skilled in proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Able to accurately perform calculations and analysis
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting; flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and alpha-numeric data entry

 

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Understanding of, or experience in, the Community Association Management Industry
  • Experience with automated AP workflows and modules
