Client Accounting Specialist Team Lead
Job Description
- Will serve as the contact for all branch accounting escalations.
- Accounting Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the accounting team.
- Review high touch financial packages and work with Community Manager to ensure accurate financials.
- Oversee the accuracy of financials statements, including balance sheets, income statements and delinquency reports.
- Create journal entries in Blackline.
- Assist Community Managers with accounting question from boards to include delinquency and homeowner assessments.
- Monitor low cash funds for HOAS.
- Work with Accounts Payable department to ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner.
- Will oversee billing, to include annual billing and special assessments.
- Oversee banking requests to ensure bank/CD accounts are opened and closed when requested.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and Microsoft Office
- Experienced in general ledger accounting
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond
effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or
complex topics to top management, public groups, and or boards of directors.
- Experienced in budget implementation
- Understanding of AP transaction process
- Understanding of AR transaction process
- Willingness to grow and take on new projects as needed
- Partner with multiple stakeholders, for example community managers, vendors, peers,
clients.
- Must be able to prioritize, manage time, and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to
detail
