As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of the accounting department, acting as a liaison between the accounting team, internal departments, and external vendors. The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has strong communication skills. You should be comfortable working with various software applications and have a proactive, solution-oriented approach to supporting the team’s financial and administrative needs.
In-office Schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the accounting team with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document organization.
- Ability to direct homeowners over the phone or email to set up payment.
- Prepare, verify, and process invoices, and payment requests.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of financial documents, such as receipts, invoices, and statements.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in company software and Microsoft Excel to facilitate smooth and efficient workflows.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of financial reports and summaries.
- Prioritize the security of confidential information by utilizing encryption practices for document transmission.
- Answer and direct calls, emails, and other communications related to accounting queries to homeowners or vendors.
- Support the accounting team in special projects, audits, and end-of-month/quarter/year activities as needed.
- Correctly sort and distribute incoming mail to proper departments.
